NC306 Software Component Upgrades

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE SECTION PRIOR TO UPGRADING ANY SOFTWARE
1. Turn off the Central Equipment (NC351(A) or NC351(A)/2) connected to the
COMPONENTS!!! See
NC304-series & NC351(A)-series Software Component
NC306 master station that is to be upgraded. Disconnect the NC306 master
station and bring it to the Central Equipment. Then plug the NC306 directly
into the Central Equipment to facilitate programming and to ensure that the
programming voltage is at the correct level.
2. Open the NC306 chassis by removing 5 screws. The tool used to remove these
is a Robinson or Scrulox #0 screwdriver, TekTone

8. On the laptop, open a DOS or COMMAND window. This should bring you to the
C:\WINDOWS directory.
9. On the laptop, type cd desktop and press the enter key. This will move you into
the C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP directory, where the files are located.
10. On the NC306, move dipswitch number 7 to the ON position and then back to
the OFF position.
11. On the laptop, type send 387_0x.bin (where x is the file's version number, for
example: send 387_03.bin) and press the enter key.
12. As packets are sent, information will be displayed on the laptop's screen. There
will be 4095 packets sent.
13. Turn off the Central Equipment. Disconnect the serial cable between the laptop
and the NC306.
14. Place the programming jumper back in its original position, and move dipswitch
number 6 back to the OFF position.
15. Reassemble the NC306 Master Station, restore it to its original location, and
reconnect it. Then, turn on the Central Equipment.
