To switch off the Vertiv Liebert EXL to change the batteries, follow these steps:

1. Touch “Inverter Off” on the touch screen (system enters Bypass Mode).
2. Switch the battery breaker to the OFF position.
3. Switch QS3 (if available) to the ON position.
4. Switch QS4 to the OFF position (system enters Service Mode / Maintenance Bypass).
5. Switch QS1 and QS2 to the OFF position (UPS completely de-energized).

Note: Some breakers may not be available for all ratings.

The system control logic automatically handles many important functions, as explained in 3.4 - Automatic Operations. Other procedures must be performed manually.
