To decommission a Puretec SOL-E3 Series water softener for transport, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the brine line at either end. 2. Turn the brine tank upside down and discard any old salt. 3. Rinse the brine tank with a garden hose. 4. Reconnect the brine line. 5. Add approximately 15 litres of water to the brine tank before reloading salt when reinstalling.
Ensure all connections are secure and dry before transport. Avoid using a pipe wrench or hammer on the nuts and caps.
