als and tools. Make sure to dispose of old fluid
according to federal, state, and fluid manufac-
turer's requirements.

Position coolant nozzle over back splash so
that it is pointing behind lathe.
Have another person hold bucket up to noz-
zle to prevent coolant from splashing out.
Turn coolant pump ON and open valve (see
Figure 118 on Page 68) to pump old fluid
out of reservoir. Turn pump OFF immediately
after fluid stops flowing.
Running coolant pump longer than nec-
essary for this procedure without adequate
fluid in tank may permanently damage it,
which will not be covered under warranty.
DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
Remove access cover from side of right
stand, then lift tank out.
Note: The fluid hose and pump cord (see
Figure 120) were purposely left long, so the
tank can be removed and dumped out with-
out disconnecting them from the tank.
Pour remaining coolant into 2-gallon bucket
and close lid.
Clean all sludge from bottom of tank and
then flush it clean. Use second bucket to hold
waste and make sure to seal lid closed when
done.
Dispose of old coolant and swarf according
to federal, state, and fluid manufacturer's
requirements.
Replace tank in cabinet, making sure tank
opening is situated under coolant drain chute.
Add coolant as instructed on this page.
