mounting
This tool is designed to be used by
hand only. Do not mount or clamp the tool.
Functions
1.
Please refer to the pictures on the
previous page when setting up and
adjusting this tool.
2.
Grip the Handle (77,81) and Forward
Handle (48) to control the tool during
operation.
3.
Squeeze the Trigger (79) to turn the
tool ON, release the Trigger to turn
the tool OFF.
4.
The Fixed Blade Guard (31) and
Lower Blade Guard (37) help protect
you from contacting the Saw Blade
(43) during operation. The Lower
Blade Guard retracts as the cut is
made. The Lower Blade Guard can
also be manually retracted, using the
Lower Blade Guard Lever (38).
5.
The Base Plate (103) supports the
tool on the work piece during opera-
tion. The Base Plate can be adjusted
to control depth and bevel angle of
the cut.
6.
The Suspension Hook (56) can be used
to temporarily hang the tool on framing
material for convenient storage.
7.
The Carbon Brushes (70) occasion-
ally require maintenance, and can be
accessed through the Carbon Brush
Covers (72).

tool Set Up
From aCCIdentaL
operatIon:
turn the power Switch of the
tool to its "OFF" position and
unplug the tool from its
electrical outlet before
performing any inspection,
maintenance, or cleaning
procedures.
1.
The Base Plate (103) can be ad-
justed to control the depth and bevel
angle of the cut.
2.
To adjust the depth of the cut, loosen
the Rear Cam Lever (88A). Place
the Base Plate (103) on a table or
flat surface with the saw blade rest-
ing against the table. While holding
the Base Plate with one hand, lift up
the end of the Worm Gear Saw (from
cord end). Align the markings along
the outer face of the Depth Guide
Scissors Hinge (105) with the index
mark on the left hand side Carbon
Brush Cover (72), noting that this
scaling is for reference only.
3.
To adjust the bevel angle of the cut,
up to 45 degrees, loosen the Forward
Cam Lever (88B), hold the Base
Plate (103) and swing the saw side
ways (to the left) until the desired
angle is achieved. For convenience,
