5. Assembling the microscope – Wiring
5.11.1 Wiring for microscopes with transmitted light illu-
minator arm
Leica DMi8 M/C
For the tiltable transmitted light illuminator arm:
• Connect the lamp cable to the port (Fig. 48.1).
For the fixed transmitted light illuminator arm:
• Connect the transmitted light illuminator arm to the port
(Fig. 48.1).
• Connect the microscope to the power supply using the
supplied power cable (Fig. 48.2).
Leica DMi8 A
• Connect the electronics cable of the transmitted light il-
luminator arm to one of the EXT1–EXT6 sockets (Fig. 49.2).
• Connect the lamp cable of the transmitted light illumi-
nator arm to the Lamp TL port (Fig. 50/ Fig. 51.2) on the
electronics box.
