Configure the Drive Modules

Follow these steps to configure the Kinetix 7000 drive.
1. Verify that there is no power applied to the drive and that the SERCOS
fiber-optic cables are plugged into the Tx and Rx connectors.
To verify your fiber-optic cable connections, refer to page 101.
2. Set the base node address for the drive by setting the SERCOS Node
Address switch.
Valid node addresses are 01...99. The left hand switch sets the most
significant digit (MSD) and the right hand switch sets the least significant
digit (LSD).
Refer to the table and figure below for switch operation.

When two or more drives are connected to the same SERCOS interface
module, each node address must be unique.
Refer to the node addressing examples beginning on page 108.
The base node address setting takes effect only after the drive is
initialized.
