  • Page 19: Sensor Features

Sensor features Sensor features The MetallicContamination Sensor MCS is a stationary sensor for continuous monitoring of contamination of fluids – especially lubrication fluids – with metallic particles. With appropriate system knowledge of the monitored system, damage resulting in detectable metallic particles can be discovered early. The MCS uses digital signal processing to distinguish between ferromagnetic (Fe) and non-ferromagnetic (nFe) particles.
