EDS-MD® Medical Device Server User Guide
Description
Shows "EDS-MD".
Displays one of the names the EDS-MD device will send to the DHCP
server if it is configured to obtain an address in this manner.
Configurable field. Enter a group to categorize the EDS-MD unit. Double-
click the field, type in the value, and press Enter to complete. This group
name is local to this PC and is not visible on other PCs or laptops using
DeviceInstaller.
Configurable field. Enter comments for the EDS-MD device. Double-click
the field, type in the value, and press Enter to complete. This description or
comment is local to this PC and is not visible on other PCs or laptops using
DeviceInstaller.
Shows the EDS device family type as ""EDS-MD".
Shows ""edsmd4", "edsmd8", or "edsmd16" by default.
Shows "Lantronix EDS-MD4", "Lantronix EDS-MD", or "Lantronix EDS-
MD16" by default.
Shows the device type as "EDS-MD".
Shows the EDS-MD ID embedded within the unit.
Shows the EDS-MD hardware (MAC) address.
Shows the firmware currently installed on the EDS-MD.
Shows the EDS-MD status as Online, Offline, Unreachable (the EDS-MD
device is on a different subnet), or Busy (the EDS-MD is currently
performing a task).
Shows the EDS-MD current IP address. To change the IP address, click the
Assign IP button on the DeviceInstaller menu bar.
Appears "Dynamically" if the EDS-MD unit automatically received an IP
address (e.g., from DHCP). Appears "Statically" if the IP address was
configured manually.
If the IP address was assigned dynamically, the following fields appear:
Obtain via DHCP with values of True or False.
Obtain via BOOTP with values of True or False.
Shows the subnet mask specifying the network segment on which the EDS-
MD device resides.
Shows the IP address of the router of this network. There is no default.
Shows the number of serial ports on this EDS-MD device server.

Shows True, indicating email triggers are available on the EDS-MD device
server.
Indicates whether Telnet is enabled on this EDS-MD device server.
Shows the EDS-MD port for Telnet sessions.
