4 Driver Installation
4.1

Linux

For Linux, download and install the latest OpenFabrics Enterprise Distribution (OFED) software
package available via the Mellanox web site at: http://www.mellanox.com => Products => Soft-
ware => Ethernet Drivers => Linux SW/Drivers => Download. This chapter describes how to
install and test the Mellanox OFED for Linux package on a single host machine with Mellanox
ConnectX-5 adapter hardware installed.

4.1.2 Downloading Mellanox OFED

Verify that the system has a Mellanox network adapter installed.
Step 1.
The following example shows a system with an installed Mellanox adapter cards:
Download the ISO image to your host.
Step 2.
The image's name has the format

--> Ethernet Drivers --> Mellanox OFED Linux (MLNX_OFED).
