Chapter 7. Using the PM880 with a PC and Printer
Use these steps if you need to change the PM880 IR set up:

Accessing the Meter Menu
If the menu is not active, press
1.
Use the arrow key to scroll to Meter and press

Use the arrow key to scroll to Communication and press

Communications window appears similar to Figure 57.

Changing Communication Setup
The Communications window displays the various parameters for IR

setup. Use the arrow keys to scroll to the desired parameters and press
to select or open a text box.

Do NOT change the Node ID unless instructed to by GE.
WARNING!
IMPORTANT:
Baud rate, parity, stop bits and data bits are active only when
IR232 is selected for the communication interface. IR232
requires the following parameters: 9600, None, 1 and 8
respectively.
