Crimping / pressing

WARNING
Danger! Risk of causing gas leakage when carrying out crimping / pressing work on parts of a gas supply
network!
▶ Never carry out crimping / pressing work on parts of a gas supply network unless express approval has
been given by the system supplier for use of this tool in conjunction with specially tested and approved
fittings.
1. Press and hold the control switch until the crimping / pressing jaws are completely closed.
2. When using a crimping ring, bring the product with the adapter jaws into position on the crimping ring
and carry out the crimping operation.
In order to achieve a tight, durable crimped / pressed joint, it is essential that the crimping / pressing
jaws reach the fully closed position, thus indicating completion of the crimping / pressing operation.
If the crimping / pressing operation is ended prematurely, the fitting must be removed or, if
possible, recrimped / repressed.

▶ Always remove the battery before carrying out care and maintenance tasks!
Care and maintenance of the tool
Carefully remove stubborn dirt.
Clean the air vents carefully with a dry brush.
Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the casing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as
these can attack the plastic parts.

Keep the battery free from oil and grease.

Avoid ingress of moisture.
Maintenance
Check all visible parts and controls for signs of damage at regular intervals and make sure that they all
function correctly.
Do not operate the product if signs of damage are found or if parts malfunction. Have it repaired
immediately by Hilti Service.
After cleaning and maintenance, fit all guards or protective devices and check that they function correctly.
