C. Use the following gradient program to remove hydrophobic cations and organic contaminants.
Eluent 1:
100 mM HCl
Eluent 2:
90% Acetonitrile in deionized water

D. Rinse the column for 15 minutes with 10 mM HCl before pumping eluent over the column.
E.
Equilibrate the column(s) with eluent before resuming normal operation for at least 30 minutes.
F.
Reconnect the IonPac CS14 Analytical Column outlet to the suppressor, and the inlet to either the IonPac CG14 2-mm
or 4-mm Guard Column, or the gradient pump.
G. Equilibrate the system with eluent before resuming normal operation.
