Ethernet NIC Connectors and Cables
The Ethernet connectors on the dual-port and four-port 10/100 Ethernet NICs
are RJ-45 connectors. Use a straight-through or crossover cable to connect the
NIC to a 10-Mbps or 100-Mbps hub or switch or to connect directly to a host.
An auto-detect crossover cable feature on this NIC automatically detects the
correct cable type.
Use IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX category-5 unshielded twisted-
pair, full-duplex, or half-duplex cable.
You can order appropriate adapter cables separately from a cable vendor of
your choice.
