Installing and Replacing Other Components
The 500s appliance automatically recognizes the new memory configuration.
You can verify the configuration by using Nokia Network Voyager or Lynx.

Installing a Nokia Encryption Accelerator Card

The Nokia 500s appliance supports a Nokia encryption accelerator card to
further enhance SSL VPN performance. The accelerator card provides high-
speed cryptographic processing that enhances SSL VPN performance.
The 500s appliance comes with the Nokia encryption accelerator card
preinstalled as part of its base bundle.
The 500s appliance uses a PMC format accelerator card. The accelerator card
has no external connections and requires no cables. The accelerator card
software package is part of IPSO, so the appliance automatically detects and
configures the card.
Use Nokia Network Voyager to configure your software applications to make
use of the available hardware accelerator. For information about how to
