Page 2 of the "PING WAN" setting menu (PPPoE)
Press "PgDn" key to enter into Page 2. In Page 2, press "Cursor Moveable Right
and Down" key to move the cursor to the positions of "VPI", "VCI", "Packet Length",
"Username", "Password" and "Writing Config". And then you can use "F1", "F2",
"F3" and "F4" softkeys to choose the parameters, as shown in Fig 11.

User should know the correct VPI and VCI to start the test, VPI and VCI indicate ATM
cell's transmission path. ISP always provides several groups of VPI and VCI for customer
use.
The typical values of VPI/VCI are 0/35, 0/38, 8/35 or 8/81. ATM switch uses 256 VPI and
each VPI includes 65,535 VCI.
All the setting parameters of "VPI", "VCI", "Username", "Password" and "Writing
Config" are shown in Table 9.

Password Authentication Protocol, PAP uses plaintext
(unencrypted) passwords and is the least sophisticated

authentication protocol.
The Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP)
negotiates a secure form of encrypted authentication by
CHAP
using Message Digest 5 (MD5), an industry- standard
hashing scheme.
