13.3 Sub-cooling charge
Refer to the following step to charge refrigerant by sub-cooling in cooling mode.
STEP1 Calculate superheat value on suction valve.
Measured suction line temperature = ___________º F
Measured suction line pressure = ___________PSIG
Calculate superheat value = ___________º F
STEP2 Calculate sub-cooling value on liquid valve.
Measured liquid line temperature = ____________º F
Measured liquid line pressure = ____________PSIG
Calculate sub-cooling value = ____________º F
Add refrigerant if calculated sub-cooling value is lower
than the designed one. Repeat the steps above.
