Completely read through the operating instructions, the „Warranty and Additional

Information" booklet as well as the latest information under the internet link
at the end of these instructions. Follow the instructions they contain. This docu-
ment must be kept in a safe place and passed on together with the device.
Function / application
The digital thermometer features an integrated NTC sensor which is used to measure
temperature and temperature differences. The thermometer is used to measure the
temperature of bulk, liquid or soft materials in all standard household, gastronomy,
trade, craft and industrial applications.
General safety instructions
– The device must only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and within
the scope of the specifications.
– Measuring instruments and accessories are not toys. Keep out of reach of children.
– The structure of the device must not be modified in any way.
– Do not expose the device to mechanical stress, extreme temperatures, moisture
or significant vibration.
– The measuring instrument must not be used in closed ovens.
– Thoroughly clean the sensor before and after use.
– The measuring instrument is not water tight. Only dip the measuring probe into
the material up to approx. 10 mm below the casing.
– Only hold the thermometer by the casing. Do not touch the test probe, it can become
very hot during the measuring procedure.
– Always replace the protective cover on the measuring probe when not in use.
– Do not use the measuring probe with an external voltage. Exercise extreme caution when
working with voltages higher than 24V AC/60 V DC. Touching the electrical conductors
at such voltages poses a risk of life-threatening electric shocks.

Safety instructions

Dealing with electromagnetic radiation
– The measuring device complies with electromagnetic compatibility regulations and limit
values in accordance with EMC-Directive 2014/30/EU.
– Local operating restrictions – for example, in hospitals, aircraft, petrol stations
or in the vicinity of people with pacemakers – may apply. Electronic devices
can potentially cause hazards or interference or be subject to hazards or interference.
– The measuring accuracy may be affected when working close to high voltages or high
electromagnetic alternating fields.

Inserting the batteries

Open battery compartment and insert
batteries corresponding to installation
symbols. Ensure correct polarity.

Setting unit

To set the required temperature unit,
press and hold the „°C/°F" button
until the corresponding symbol appears
in the display.

Hold/Max/Min
Press the „Hold" button to hold the
current measured value in the display
(Hold flashes in display).
To determine the maximum or minimum
temperature during a measurement, press
and hold the „Hold" button until „MAX"
or „MIN" flashes in the display. Normal
measuring mode is set when no function
is flashing in the display.
„- - °C" will be displayed if the measured
temperature is outside the measuring
range.
