Adjusting the Image Position
(Sub Scanning Direction)
1. Copy the test chart with the DADF.
2. Compare the leading edge registration between the
copy and the test chart. As necessary, make the
following adjustment.
■ Adjustment Procedure
1. Select the following item in the service mode.
FEEDER > ADJUST > DOCST
2. Change the value as gap A in the figure.
• If the image is displaced to the trailing edge:
Increase the value. (The image shifts to the leading
edge.)
• If the image is displaced to the leading edge:
Decrease the value. (The image shifts to the trailing
edge.)
Setting Value; 1=0.1mm
< If the image is displaced toward trailing edge >
Leading edge of

< If the image is displaced toward leading edge >
Leading edge of
printed image
3. When the setting value was changed in step 2, write
down the new numerical value in the service label.
NOTE:
The service label affixed to the back of Reader Front
Cover.
