    Structure and function Function 3.10 Function The FDCW221 communicates with the control panel via the FDnetdetector line. The range of the radio signal in buildings is up to 40 m and is heavily dependent on materials and equipment. If the radio cells overlap, the maximum number of radio gateways is limited to 16 radio gateways or radio cells because of the limited number of channels available.

Should the mains voltage fail, the radio gateway is powered via the battery in the control panel. Brief open lines (<5 hours) on the detector line can be bridged by the 9 V lithium manganese dioxide batteries.
