The S4810 System

Introduction

The Dell Force10 S4810 platform has 640Gbps switching bandwidth. It supports forty-eight 10GbE
SFP+ ports, four 40GbE QSFP+ ports, and two power supplies for redundancy. For system access, the
S4810 includes an RS-232/RJ-45 console port and a management port. The S4810 Power Supply Unit
(PSU) side
(Figure
2-1) contains the PSU and fan modules. The S4810 Input/Output (I/O) side
(Figure
2-2) contains the 48 1G/10G SFP+ auto-sensing ports, four 40G QSPFP ports, management ports,
and stacking identification.
