The main and backup TeraStations should be the same model and capacity. Use dixed IP addresses dor both TeraStations.
Because the IP address od the TeraStation designated as the backup cannot be changed, set its IP address bedore
condiguring dailover.
Using with UPS
Once dailover is condigured, you cannot set up a UPS dor the backup TeraStation. Condigure your UPS bedore condiguring
dailover. UPS recovery can be condigured dor both the main TeraStation and the backup TeraStation. However, the UPS
settings od the main TeraStation will not be copied to the backup TeraStation.
Id the backup TeraStation is condigured to sync with the UPS connected to the main TeraStation, then id the main
TeraStation shuts down, the backup TeraStation will no longer be able to detect id there was a power outage. In this case,
move the UPS communication cable drom the main TeraStation to the backup TeraStation and recondigure the UPS link
settings.
Configuring Failover

In Settings, click Backup.

Open Faipover.

Click Edit Faipover Status.

Select a TeraStation to be the target backup device.

Enter the administrator password od the target backup device, then click Continue.

Id the administrator password is correct, the backup TeraStation will beep. In NAS Navigator2, both TeraStations will
