Id you are using Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2012, the
Microsodt iSCSI Sodtware Initiator is already installed on your computer. You don't need to download and install it.
iSCSI Setup
To use the TeraStation as an iSCSI hard drive, condigure it as described below.

Connect the TeraStation's Ethernet and power cables and condigure the TeraStation's IP address and its clock.

In Settings, click Drives.

Choose LVM.

Select the drive where the volume will be created and click Enabpe LVM on Vopume.
Notes:
• Enabling LVM bedore using a drive as an iSCSI drive is optional. Id LVM is not enabled, you can still create one iSCSI
volume drom the entire drive. However, enabling LVM is recommended dor drives that will be used dor iSCSI.
• Id the LVM settings are changed, all data on the volume will be erased. Bedore changing the settings, back up any
important data.

The "Condirm Operation" screen will open. Enter the displayed number, then click OK.
