Bypassing a "short menu"

When the front panel is locked, the Printer Configuration menu will not show the
Default Printer Settings and Network Settings.
1.
Scroll to the Printer Configuration menu.

While holding the left arrow button; press Select. The front panel will
display the complete menu list.
2.
Exiting from the submenu returns the printer to the short version of the
Printer Configuration menu.

Printing service test prints

1.
Turn on the printer.
2.
Allow the printer to complete its power-up self-tests. The front panel
displays:
Ready to Print
3.
Scroll to the Troubleshooting menu and press Select.
4.
Press and hold the left arrow button.
5.
While holding the left arrow button, press Select to enter the hidden
service menu.
6.
Scroll to the menu item Test Prints. Select a test print.
Refer to "Test Prints" on page 177; it discusses each test print and what printing
defect it reveals.
Printing the Configuration Page
1.
Turn on the printer.
2.
Allow the printer to complete its power-up self-tests. The front panel
displays:
Ready to Print
3.
Scroll to the Menu and press the Select button.
4.
Scroll to the menu item Printer Configuration and press the Select
button.
5.
Scroll to the menu item Print Configuration Page and press the
Select button.
The Configuration Page shows a great deal of information regarding the data and
set-up values stored in NVRAM. Refer to the topic, "Configuration Page" on the
Color Printer Service & Support Resources CD-ROM for an explanation of the
Configuration Page.
