5 Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
The module provides diagnostic information in four forms to the user.
1) Status Data values are transferred from the module to the controller tags in the
CompactLogix processor.
2) Status data is available to other nodes on the network by reading of module's internal
database area containing status data.
3) All data contained in the module can be viewed through the configuration/debug port
to an attached terminal emulator.
4) LED status indicators on the front of the module yield information on the modules
status.
The following sections explain how to obtain the Status Data from the module and the
meaning of the individual LED's on the module.
5.1 Reading Status Data from the module
The MVI69-DFCM module returns a 29-word Status Data block that can be used to
determine the module's operating status. This data is located in the module's database
at registers 7600 to 7628 and at the location specified in the configuration. This data is
transferred to the CompactLogix processor continuously with each read block.
5.2 LED Status Indicators
The LED's will indicate the module's operating status as follows:
