Step 2: Replacing the control panel and changing over to FDnet protocol

Starting up for the first time under FDnet

The peripheral devices must change to FDnet mode. We would recommend using
the FDUL221 line tester for the changeover.
You will find more information on the FDUL221 in document 008250. See the
chapter 'Applicable documents [➙ 7]'.

Starting up from collective mode

When starting up for the first time, you must perform the following:
1. Switch the detector line on.
2. Wait at least 30 s.
3. Read in the detector line until all the detectors installed have been recognized.

Starting up from AnalogPLUS mode

When starting up for the first time, you must perform the following:
1. Read in the detector line.
2. Switch the detector line off for at least 30 s.
3. Read in the detector line again.
4. Repeat steps 1...3 until all installed multiple protocol detectors have been
recognized.
Starting up from MS8/PMT, interactive, or SIGMALOOP
mode
No special measures are required. The detector line can be started up like a
standard FDnet detector line.

Configuration

The multiple protocol detectors are configured using the respective configuration
software for the fire control panel.
