Hydraulic Pump
Remove the capscrews that mount the pump to the
engine. Remove the pump from the engine and apply
high pressure molybdenum grease to the splines.
Re-install the pump and secure with the capscrews.
Hydraulic Oil Tank & Filter
(Figure 3-3)
Fluid Level
With the platform fully lowered, the oil should be visi-
ble in the sight gauge. If the oil is NOT visible, fill the
tank until the oil can be seen. DO NOT fill above the
sight gauge or when the platform is elevated.
Oil & Filter Replacement
1. Operate the work platform for five minutes to
warm up the oil. To change filter only, go to step
5.
C A U T I O N
!
The hydraulic oil may be hot enough to cause
burns. Wear safety gloves and safety glasses
when handling hot oil.
2. Provide a suitable container to catch the drained
oil. The hydraulic tank has an oil capacity of 45.5 l
(12 US Gallons).
3. Remove the drain plug and allow all oil to drain
into the container, be sure to dispose of oil prop-
erly.
4. Reinstall the drain plug.
5. Unscrew the filter top from the filter body.
6. Lift the filter element from the filter body.
7. Remove filter cup and clean cavity, reinstall cup.
8. Insert the replacement filter into the filter body
and press into position.
9. Fill the hydraulic oil tank to the level of the Sight
Gauge with ISO #46 (see Table 1-1) hydraulic oil
by pouring the oil into the top of the filter. Since
the oil is being filtered as it is going into the tank,
it will take a while to fill the tank.
