Signal strength – the display will show a slide bar to indicate the signal strength. The stronger the signal,

Programme type – this describes the style of the programme. If the information is not available the display

will show 'Programme Type>'.
Audio bit rate – the display will show the digital audio bit rate being received.

Frequency – The display will show the frequency of the station being broadcast.

DAB SET UP OPTIONS
This function allows the DAB set up menu to be entered and a number of options to be changed.

Press the DAB MENU button to enter the set up menu.

Press the SKIP / TUNE SEARCH ("or!) buttons to move through the menu options available and press
the
ENTER or SELECT button
Full Scan – Initiates an automatic DAB scan.

Manual tune – Permits specific station groups to be manually added – see section 8.2.
•
DRC – Permits the dynamic range compression to be modified.
•
Prune – allows stations that have no signal to be deleted from the station list.
•
Language-allows display language to be set
•
SW version – allows displays the software version.

DAB MODE - RESET
If moving the radio to another location in the country the pre-tuned and stored DAB stations may no longer
be available and it will be necessary to reset the radio back to the factory settings.

When in DAB mode, open the CD tray

Press and hold the
RESET', The CD tray will close and the unit will start the reset and perform an auto scan. All stored
programmed stations will be lost during reset.

USING THE RADIO - FM MODE
9.1
FM MODE - TUNING
i.
Turn the radio on, press the TUNER/DAB button and select the FM mode. The display will show 'FM', the
radio will automatically tune to the nearest station and then the display will show the station name (or
frequency if RDS not available).
ii.
To activate auto tune, press the RADIO DATA SCAN button. The unit will start scanning UP the frequency
and stop automatically once the station has been found. To scan downwards, press and hold the RADIO
DATA SCAN button
iii.
To search manually, briefly press the SKIP / TUNE SEARCH (" or !) buttons to increment the frequency by
0.05MHz.
iv.
To change the audio mode (stereo and mono) press the MONO/ST button to switch between stereo and
mono when stereo is available.
v.
If an FM RDS(Radio Data Signal ) is present, the display automatically show the station name and radio text
(where available)
9.2
FM DISPLAY MODES AND SET UP OPTIONS
This function allows information relating to the current station to be shown in the second line of the
display.
Press the RADIO DATA DISPLAY button repeatedly to scroll through the following display modes

This function allows up to 30 stations to be programmed into the memory and stored in both DAB and FM
modes.
