SETTING AND USING THE TIMER
This function will switch the hi-fi on and off at a preset time and can be used as an alarm.

To set the time that the timer will activate, during standby mode, press and hold the TIMER button until

appears in the display and the hour digits flash in the display.

To set the time, press the SKIP / TUNE / SEARCH (
activate and press the TIMER button to confirm.

The minute digits will now flash in the display, press the SKIP / TUNE / SEARCH (

When the time on the clock is the same as the time set on the timer, the appliance will turn on and start to
play and the volume gradually increase to the set level.

The timer will activate the hi-fi each day at the same time until the timer function is switched off. To switch
off the timer function, press the TIMER button once and the timer indicator ' ' will extinguish in the display.

To re-activate the timer in the future, press the TIMER button once, ' ' will be displayed to show that the
timer is now switched on.
Note
Each of the above steps need to be completed within 10 seconds of pressing the button, otherwise the

screen will clear.
If the display shows "ERROR" during set up then it indicates that 'on' time and 'off' time are the same.

Wipe external surfaces with a soft cloth. If the cabinet is very dirty, unplug from the mains supply and use

a damp cloth soaked in a weak solution of washing up liquid and water. Allow it to dry thoroughly before
reusing.

Potential cause / solution
Does the socket that is being used have power?
Are the batteries exhausted?
Have the batteries been correctly fitted?
Are there obstacles in the between the remote and the sensor on the main
unit?
Is the remote too far away from the sensor?
Is the volume control set at minimum or has the sound been muted?
Are headphones fitted in the phones jack?
Extend or adjust the position of the antenna or radio.
FM stereo – if weak switch to MONO as this requires less signal strength.
Signal is weak. Extend the antenna or adjust the location of the radio.
Positions higher up or nearer windows may improve reception.
Try re-orienting the antenna or moving the radio to a different location. Check
that your local area has DAB coverage on
