Always disconnect mains electricity to the unit before opening the doors, e.g. for installation, inspection, cleaning and filter change. Disposal Ventilation system Nilan units mainly consist of recyclable materials. They should therefore not be disposed of with household refuse. Take them to your local recycling centre. -

Unit type Product description Comfort 252 / 302 Top is a ventilation unit with heat recovery. The unit is designed for air flows up to 253/345 m /h at 100 Pa external duct pressure. The unit draws the humid, vitiated air out of the dwelling via the bathroom, WC, kitchen and utility room and introduces fresh outdoor air into habitable rooms such as living room, bedrooms and office. -

The Nilan water trap contains a ball which cease to prevent "false" air intake into the unit, so that condensate can run freely out of the unit. -

BY NILAN Flexible silencing To facilitate later servicing of the unit, we recommend fitting a flexible connection between the unit and the duct system. Nilan's sound damping flexi-hose gives good sound damping both to the duct system and to roof stacks. -

User panel CTS150 control-panel The control-panel comes standard with 4 m cable mounted with RJ11 connectors at each end. One plug is mounted in the control-panel and the second plug is mounted in the unit. The cable can be extended to max. 50 m. A 4 wired ribbon flatcable twisted in pairs 2x2, 25 mm with RJ11 connectors are neededmed RJ11 (telephone cable). -

Comfort 252 / 302 Top (English) BY NILAN Electrical connection, unit Supply CAUTION Power sypply including safety switch must be installed by a certified electrician. It comes with a power cable for connection in socket. It is important for the unit to be bonded to earth. -

Electrical connections assessories User select/cooker hood solution User selection of the CTS150 control, is a connector cable connected to the unit. A 10 m cable are connectet to a potential-free contact. When the contact is activated the unit change to fan level four and overrides all other functions. -

Comfort 252 / 302 Top (English) BY NILAN External electrical preheating element If the unit is the non-Polar version, an external preheating element can be purchased for retro-fitting. The electric preheating element is mounted in the outdoor air duct before the unit with the necessary temperature sensor. -

Operation Bypass function When the current room temperature is above the desired temperature, there is no further need for heat recovery. In this situation, the bypass opens and diverts the outdoor air round the heat exchanger, preventing the latter from being heated by the indoor air. This results in lower internal pressure in the unit, thereby saving energy on fan operation. -
