Pre-Operation Checks; Engine Cover Removal/Installation - TOHATSU BFT 60A Owner's Manual

BFT60A/BFW60A is 4-stroke, water
cooled outboard motor which uses
unleaded gasoline for fuel. It also
requires the engine oil. Check the
following before operating the
outboard motor.
Perform the following
pre-operation checks with the
engine stopped.
Before each use, look around and
underneath the engine for signs of oil
or gasoline leaks.

Engine Cover Removal/Installation

LOCK
• To remove, raise the front and rear
engine cover fixing levers and
remove the engine cover.
• To install, set the engine cover,
hook the front and rear latches, and
push down the front and rear
engine cover fixing levers.

Do not operate the outboard motor
without the engine cover.
Exposed moving parts can cause
injury.
