Adjusting the tonal character (Equalizer)

The V-Piano contains a four-band equalizer which you can use to adjust the tonal character.
This equalizer applies to all sound that is output from the V-Piano.
1.
Press the [EQUALIZER] button.
The equalizer will turn on. The [EQUALIZER] button will light, and the equalizer screen will appear in the display.

Use the [F1]–[F4] buttons and the [VALUE] dial to edit the equalizer parameters.

The equalizer screen contains a frequency response graph that shows the combined result of the four bands. The currently selected
band and its parameter settings are shown at the right of the graph.
• Use the [F1 (BAND -)] or [F2 (BAND +)] button to switch bands.
• Use the [F3 (▲)] / [F4 (▼)] button to select the parameter you want to edit.
• Turn the [VALUE] dial to edit the value of the selected parameter.

Some equalizer settings may cause distortion. If so, reduce the Input Gain.

To turn the equalizer off, press the [EQUALIZER] button.
The [EQUALIZER] button will go out, and the previous screen will reappear.
By pressing the [EXIT] button you can return the previous screen while leaving the equalizer on.

Bandwidth. Higher values will narrow the frequency range of the band.
Shelving: This type boosts/cuts the region below the specified center frequency.
Peaking: This type boosts/cuts only the region around the specified center frequency.
