1989 REFRIGERATORS
GENERAL OPERATING INFORMATION
Temperature Control Settings
Separate temperature controls
for
the
freezer
and
fresh
food
compartments are located up-front,
in
the
respective
compartments.
Both
controls
have
numbers
1
through 9 and initially should
be
set
at
position
5.
The freezer
temperature control regulates
the
compressor
run
time
and
has an
"off"
position.
The
freezer
control
is
an
electric
sensor
control and the capillary senses a
change in the air temperature
and
controls
the compressor run time.
The
fresh
food
control
is
an
automatic
air damper control that
regulates the amount of
cold
air
supplied
to
the
fresh
food
compartment.
It has
positions
1
through
9 and initially should be
set at position 5.
The air damper
is
controlled
by
a
sensing
capillary
that
senses
the
temperature
of
the
air
in
the
fresh food
and
adjusts
the
air
damper accordingly.
Power saver switch -
There is
a
power
saver
switch
located in
the
fresh food control
console. It is in the
right
front
corner and has two positions.
Complete Water and Ice System
From the Pictorial, and in order:
1. The water valve location and
tube routing.
2. The water supply
tank
3. Ice maker
4. Ice cube mold
5. Auger and dispenser bucket
6. Water tubing routed through
hinge and inside door panel to
recess.
7. Water dispensing location
Note the
grille
over
the
water
tank.
This
grille
directs
the
fresh
food
air
over
the
water
tank.
If
the
tank
is too cold,
part of the grille louvers can
be
blocked
with
tape
on
the right
side.
