5 . 8 P R O G R A M T E L E P H O N E N U M B E R S [ 9 0 0 ] Up to 9 telephone numbers can be programmed on the V2 TEL. Your Engineer will have already assigned the desired alarm messages to one or more telephone numbers.
V2 TEL User Manual 5 . 9 M E S S A G E T Y P E [ 9 3 0 ] This function allows the choice of what message type is sent for each telephone number. The following different message types can be programmed: Voice: Sends a voice message only (example: ALARM, ALARM, ALARM).
When the V2 TEL calls a telephone number, the relevant message will be played. At the end of the message the V2 TEL will ask you to enter a code number to acknowledge that the message has been received. If the call is not acknowledged then the V2 TEL will make a repeat call.
5 . 1 3 V I E W E V E N T L O G [ 9 8 5 ] All events that occur are recorded in the event log. The V2 TEL display will show all information in order, starting at the most recent event.
C H A P T E R 6 : R E C E I V I N G A C A L L F R O M T H E V 2 T E L After alarm activation has occurred, the V2 TEL will call one or more of the programmed telephone numbers.
Press 1 to listen, 2 to talk, 3 to control output, 4 for system status or press 0 to hang up. If you decided to control an output, press 3. The voice menu on V2 TEL will say: Enter the output number. Enter the output that you wish to operate, 1 to 4 for the built in outputs (see the output appendix on page 18).
