The Agilent 1100 Series Control Module
Control Module Software
The screen provides access to:
• Settings — all LC analytical system and module settings,
• Timetable — time programmable settings,
• Method — method management functions (load, save, delete),
• Sequence — multiple method analyses, and
• Views — other screens: Samples (easy access on vials), Status (most important
parameters during analysis) and System (control, configuration, tests and
records)
The Start/Stop button [F8] starts or stops a single injection or a multiple injection
analysis.
The On/Off button [F7] turns the pump, detector lamp, heater and thermostatted
column on or off.
The Plot button [F6] provides direct access to the Plot screen where all important
parameters can be displayed graphically. It is possible to display several parameters
at the same time.
Using the m (menu) key in the Analysis screen prompts context sensitive menus
depending on the active parameter entry field (see Figure 3 on page 22).
The Module Status on the top right hand side of the screen and on top of the
individual module tabs indicates whether the system/ module is ready or not.
indicates the system is ready,
(only applicable for individual modules) indicates that a vital error has
occurred in the module.
The following diagram shows the functionality available in the Analysis screen for
an LC system comprising a pump, an autosampler, a thermostatted column
compartment and a detector (e.g. Variable Wavelength Detector, Diode Array
Detector, Multiple Wavelength Detector).
