    WARMTH AND BEAUTY - HOW IT WORKS This Element4 fireplace is a direct vent fireplace and, as such, the intake and exhaust air moves through the vent pipe. To lower the temperature of the glass panel(s), the fireplace has a Glass Safety Barrier between the room and the inner panels(s). This Glass Safety Barrier includes fans to move room air between the two layers of viewing glass thus providing warm air to the room.
