5_ Pushstarterbuttonto start engine.
To prolongstarterlife, useshort startingcycles(5 secondsmaximum
then wait one minute).

Oncethe enginestarts,releasestarterbutton.
7.
Allowtheengine to warmup severalminutes,adjustingchoke
towardRUNposition.Wait untilengineruns smoothlybeforeeach
chokeadjustment.
8.
Whendisconnecting the extensioncord, alwaysunplugthe end
at the three-prongwalloutlet beforeunpluggingthe oppositeend
from the snowthrower.

Rotatechoke controlto CHOKE lJl
position.
2.
Depressprimer,if it is 15°For higherpushprimertwo times,if
below15°Rpushprimerfourtimes.
3.
PushStopswitchto ONposition.
4.
Graspthe recoilstarterhandleand slowlypull the ropeout. At
the pointwhereit becomesslightlyharderto pull the rope,slowly
allowthe ropeto recoil.
5.
Pull the starterhandlewith a firm, rapid stroke.Donot release
the handleand allowit to snap back.Keepa firm hold on the
starterhandleand allowit to slowlyrecoil.
6.
Allowtheengine to warmup severalminutes,adjustingchoke
towardRUNposition.Wait untilengineruns smoothlybeforeeach
chokeadjustment.
To avoidunsupervised engineoperation,neverleavethe machine
unattended with the engine running.Turnthe engineoff after useand
removeignitionkey.
STOPPUNG THE ENGUNE
After youare finishedsnow-throwing, r un enginefor a few minutes
beforestoppingto help dry off any moistureon the engine.

PushStopswitchto OFFposition.
2.
Removetheignitionkey and store in a safe place.
3.
Wipeall snowand moisturefrom thearea aroundthe engineas
wellas the area in and aroundthe drivecontroland auger control.
Also,engageand releasebothcontrolsseveraltimes.

Moveshift Hever intoone of the six forward(F) positionsor two
reverse(R) positions.SeHect a speedappropriatefor the snow
conditionsand a paceyou'recomfortabHe w ith.
NOTE: Whenselectinga DriveSpeed,usethe slowerspeedsuntil
youare comfortableand familiarwith the operationof the snow
thrower.
2.
Squeezethedrive controH againstthe handHe a nd thesnow
throwerwiHH move.ReHease i t and drivemotionwiHH stop.
NOTE:NEVERrepositiontheshift lever(changespeedsor direction
of travel)withoutfirst releasingthe drivecontrol and bringingthe snow
throwerto a completestop.Doingsowill resultin premature wearto
the snow thrower'sdrivesystem.
TO ENGAGE
AUGERS
1_ Toengagethe augersand startthrowingsnow,squeezethe
auger controlagainstthe left handle.Releaseto stop theaugers.

The augersare securedto the spiraH shaftwith four shearpinsand
bow-tiechips.Hf t he augershouHd strikea foreignobject or icejam,
the snow throweris designedsothat the shearpins mayshear.Hf t he
