The type of the file. As with all of the OIW data logs the spectrum data
logs are text based files output in .csv format (comma separated values).
This means that they can be opened in a plain text editor such as
Notepad (included with Windows) or more sophisticated mathematical
analysis tools such as Microsoft's Excel application, see Figure 24.

The format of the spectrum data log is as follows:
The first line is a header line show the oil ppm level in the water at the time the Spectra was
taken and measurement limit.
The second line is a header line to identify the two columns that follow. In addition this line
holds some status information about the spectrum reading which is for Advanced Sensors Ltd
use only.
The remaining lines list the wavelength and relative light level reading, as partially shown in
Figure 24 above.
