Module control start
The following shows the procedure to restart the module control. In this procedure, complete the online module change and
restart the control of the new module. Before restarting the control of the module, check the following precautions.
■Precautions
• Make sure the new module is mounted completely and the module fixing hook is securely fixed.
• Make sure the connectors and terminal blocks connected to the module are free from looseness and rattles.
• Fix a module without the module fixing hook with module fixing screws securely though the RUN LED turns on under fixing
the screws.
■Procedure
Module control start
The READY LED of the CPU
module (RUN LED for the remote
head module) is on.
Yes
Check that the newly-mounted module
has started the control.
Clear the error of the CPU module or

remote head module.

*1 To clear errors on the CPU module and remote head module, use either of the following methods.
 Using the engineering tool ( GX Works3 Operating Manual)
 Using SM/SD ( MELSEC iQ-R CPU Module User's Manual (Application),  MELSEC iQ-R CC-Link IE Field Network Remote
Head Module User's Manual (Application))
To check the control restart, check the following depending on the module.
■I/O modules
1.
If the target module is an I/O module that requires external power supply, supply the external power supply to the
module.
2.
The online module change has been completed.
■I/O modules with diagnostic functions
1.
Check that 'Module READY' (X1F) is off.
After module recognition, 'Module READY' (X1F) turns off. To execute the initial setting using a program, design the program
so that the initial setting is executed when 'Module READY' (X1F) turns off. Do not design a program that executes the initial
setting only in one scan after the CPU module has started running. Otherwise, the initial setting is not executed.

Supply external power supply to the module.
3.
The online module change has been completed.
