Sensor Installation

4.1

Flanged sensors

Gaskets
The sensor requires a gasket at each process connection. The gasket material
must be compatible with the process fluid and operating conditions. Gaskets
are required on each side of a grounding ring (see
applications (including sensors with lining protectors or a grounding
electrode) require only one gasket on each process connection.
Note
Metallic or spiral-wound gaskets should not be used as they will damage the
liner face of the sensor. If spiral wound or metallic gaskets are required for
the application, lining protectors must be used.
