Local Source Line Inputs
If the TV or other local source
component has a set of line-
level outputs, use a stereo
RCA cable to connect them to
the ASAP1's local source line
input jacks (see Figure 5 ).
Whenever an audio signal
appears at the local source
line inputs it will be amplified and sent to the ASAP1's
speaker output connections.

In addition to being triggered by the
presence of an audio signal at the

speaker or line inputs, the switch

source can also be triggered by the
presence of a video signal at the
amplifier's V
(see Figure 8 ).

LOCAL
The Video Trigger is a composite video
input that connects to a composite video
output on the TV. Note that the video
signal is only used as a trigger to switch the amplifier's audio
input. The ASAP1D does not offer video signal switching.
The advantage of using the V
speaker
the ASAP1D will not switch back to the House source when
the TV sound is momentarily muted.
Mono Out
If desired, you can convert the V
function as a line-level mono output that would supply a

sum of the left & right channel signals from the local source
(line in or speaker in) connections. See Appendix on page 10
.
for specific instructions on converting the connection.
The mono output signal is ideal for driving a powered
subwoofer, enabling the local system to deliver improved
P O W E R
bass performance that will greatly enhance the listening

experience when playing film soundtracks or musical
performance videos.
