Volume Controls

The
front-panel
V

potentiometers (see
ONTROL
Figure 9 ) control the volume
of the Local source. These can
be
used
to
balance
volume of the Local source
against the volume of the
House source (the volume of
which is determined by the
source component feeding the house source speaker input
connections). Use a small screwdriver or similar tool to adjust
the potentiometers.
Trigger Sensitivity Adjustment
The amount of Local-source audio
input voltage required to switch the
ASAP1D from the House source to the
Local source can be adjusted with the
front-panel T
S
RIGGER
ENSITIVITY
tiometer (see Figure 10 ). Turning the
control
clockwise
increases
trigger sensitivity — requiring less
signal to trigger the input change.
The full clockwise position is 1mV;
the full counter-clockwise position is OFF.
Switching Delay Time Adjustment
The amount of time it takes for the
ASAP1D to revert back to the House
source after the L
OCAL
signal has ceased can be adjusted with
the front-panel B
A D
TO
potentiometer (see Figure 11 ). Turning
the control clockwise decreases the
delay time.
The minimum delay time is 3 seconds;
the maximum is 2 minutes.

Active Input Indicators
The ASAP1D front panel has two LEDs
(see Figure 12 ) that indicate which
input is active:
A: Illuminates Red when the House
source is active.
B: Illuminates Green when the Local
R
source is active.
