Introduction
Traditionally, retrofitting or upgrading an existing relay has been a challenging and time
consuming task, often requiring re-engineering, panel modifications, and re-wiring. The
TM
Multilin
489 to 889 Retrofit Kit provides a quick 3-step solution to upgrade previously
installed Multilin relays, reducing upgrade costs and minimizing effort.
The Retrofit Kit comes factory assembled and tested as a complete unit with the 889
protection relay. Optional replacement hardware is available (terminal blocks and screws)
for use if the existing hardware is significantly aged or damaged. An optional 3" collar is
available to ensure the depth of the existing and replacement relays matches, eliminating
the need to push or pull cables.
