Tandem operation is only supported with
MX-2640/3140/3640N series only.
To enable this function, change,
SIM55-03 SW30-3 from 0 (default) to 1.
Once enabled, go to System Settings-Image Send
Settings-Operation Settings menu and enable the "Hold
Address for a while after scanning is completed" option
for the relevant Image Send mode.
To prevent static discharge (change of bias voltages),
upgrade the PCU firmware to 04.04.G2.00 (or higher).
Also check the operation of the Drum Phase sensors
and the clutches that change the position of the
Primary Transfer Belt . The belt may not be locking
securely into the colour or BW position.

The latest Running Change firmware now supports
U2-00 cancellation therefore:-
1. Upgrade the MFP Firmware to 03.00.A2 (or higher).
2. Clear U2-00 trouble by executing SIM16.
To support MX-2640/3140/3640N series, the ACU
firmware version must be upgraded to 01.00.A2.
Use SIM49-10 to perform the ACRE firmware upgrade.
Check/replace CF card on the MFP PWB.
Please ensure the CF Card is installed correctly.
Make sure it is seated all the way and "clicks" into

To work around this issue, open & close Tray 3 or 4
when the message appears or upgrade the PCU
firmware to 04.01.G1 (or higher).
To support future models, the Transfer Motor SB
installed on the MXDE13 & MXDE14 desk unit has been
changed since June 2013 production therefore, when
the current desk unit is installed onto an earlier
machine for example, both PCU & Desk firmware must
be upgraded to the latest version to ensure
compatibility.
