OPERATION – NEEDLE SCALER
Ensure the scaler attachment has been locked into place before connecting to air supply.
1. Grip the tool with both hands. Place one hand on the needle housing (27) and the other hand on the tool
body.
2. Press the lever (7) to operate. Make sure the needles (24) are not touching any surface when you turn on the
tool.
3. Place the vibrating needles on the work surface. Move the needle scaler around in the area from which you
wish to remove the material, as shown in Figure 4.
4. Keep only light pressure on the tool while in use. Do not apply heavy pressure as it may damage the surface
area.
5. Do not hold the needle scaler in any one area of the work surface for more than a few seconds. Longer
intervals could damage the surface.
6. If the needle scaler will not remove the material from the surface after a few short attempts, do not continue.
Use another method to remove the material.
OPERATION – FLUX CHIPPER
Ensure the chisel tip has been attached before connecting to air supply.
1. Grip the tool with both hands. Both hands should be on the tool body, and not in contact with the chisel tip
(22).
2. Press the lever (7) to operate. Make sure the chisel tip (22) are resting against the surface BEFORE turning on
the tool.
3. Keep chisel tip (22) against material to be removed. Do not use excessive pressure; let the tool do the work.
4. If the flux chipper will not remove the material from the surface after a few short attempts, do not continue. Use
another method to remove the material.
