Compact Flash Configuration

Saving Configurations

The SR1001 supports compact flash memory. For a list of supported flash sizes and vendors
supported, refer to the release notes that shipped with the SR1001.
To configure and use compact flash memory, the following file commands are supported:

Compare bootrom files between flash and bootrom images

Copy the file from flash to flash
copy_boot
Copy the bootrom image to flash bootrom image area
download
Download a file from the network to main flash
format
Format the flash
Invalidate the Flash Bootrom Image
invalidate_boot
ls
List the file names on the flash
rename
Rename a file on the flash
rm
Remove a file from the flash
show_boot
Display Flash Bootrom Data
upload
Upload a file to host
version
List versions of the image files from the flash
Use the following command to save new configurations to system memory.
Before powering down the router, execute a write memory command to save the router
NOTE:
configuration to local flash.
Router> write memory
Use the following command to save new configurations to a network host for
archiving and back-up purposes. Identify the host name or IP address, the host
directory the file is being transferred to, and the new name as follows.
Router> write network 10.1.100.149 /maindir/config01.txt
When saving to a network host, the host directory and file name must already exist.
