NXDN ™ OPERATION
NXDN ™ operation
The transceiver provides Icom Digital Advanced Sys-
™
tem (IDAS ) that meets the 6.25 kHz emission mask
requirements for narrow banding, and increases effi-
ciency of channel allocation and use of spectrum using
™
the NXDN common air interface.
NOTE: During the NXDN
1200 and MDC 1200 system operations are not us-
able.
You can use a preset operation type in a zone.

Conventional mode

The Conventional system enables normal digital mode
channel management by manually selecting a chan-
nel.
D Trunking mode
The Trunk system enables further effective channel
management by sharing a minimum number of chan-
nels with a large number of users.
NOTE: While in the Trunking mode, you can receive
and transmit digital calls in the same way as in the
Conventional mode.
