Remove the Insulating Strip from the Remote Control Remove the insulating mylar strip from the battery if the battery is being used for the first time. It is located at the bottom back side of the remote control. Battery Replacement for the Remote Control The remote control requires a CR2032, 3V Lithium battery.
Handling the Remote Control • Take care of your fingernails when you press and hold the battery release tab. • Do not drop or cause impact to the remote control. • Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control. • Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
Connections Mains Power • This unit was designed to operate with an AC 230-240V ~50Hz power supply. • Connecting the unit to any other power source may cause damage to the unit. Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect the mains plug to a mains socket. Make sure the mains plug is fully inserted into the mains socket.

Adjusting the Volume Press the VOLUME +/– buttons on the unit or the remote control to increase/decrease the volume. Press the MUTE button on the remote control to switch the sound off. The volume level will flash and the audio output will temporarily stop. Press the MUTE button again to resume audio listening.
Tap the SKIP/TUNE SEARCH icons on the unit or press the buttons on the remote control to adjust the minute digits and then press the TIMER button on the remote control to confirm the TIMER OFF time. Now the “TUNER” indicator will flash on the display. Press the SKIP/TUNE SEARCH buttons to select the mode (TUNER / CD / USB / CARD / iPod).
CD / MP3 / WMA Operation Playback During POWER ON mode, tap the FUNCTION icon on the unit or press the FUNCTION button on the remote control repeatedly to select CD mode. The unit will start to read the CD/MP3 disc and start playback automatically.

Memory Card Operation During POWER ON mode, connect a SD card to the MEMORY CARD port directly. Tap the FUNCTION icon on the unit or press the FUNCTION button on the remote control repeatedly to select CARD mode. If no memory card is connected, “NO CARD” will show on the display. The unit will search for all available MP3/WMA files, and start playback automatically.
iPod Operation Using the iPhone/iPod dock you can play music files stored on your iPhone/iPod through the stereo speakers. FM Operation During POWER ON mode, tap the FUNCTION icon on the unit or press the FUNCTION button on the remote control repeatedly to the TUNER mode to select a FM station. Searching for a Station Manually • To tune for weak station, tap the SKIP/TUNE SEARCH icons on the unit or press the buttons on the remote control continuously until you reach the correct frequency or the reception is at its best.
Presetting Stations The unit’s memory can store a total of 30 FM stations. Presetting allows you to tune in to a station directly. Tune in to a desired station and then tap the MODE icon on the unit or press the MODE button on the remote control.
