Installing and removing an accessible module bay in a 5 1/4

Open the casing (see "Opening the casing").

If you do not want to install a new drive, you must refit the plastic drive cover again (see
"Installing plastic drive cover").

Close the casing (see "Closing the casing").

Open the casing (see "Opening the casing").

If necessary, install the corresponding plastic drive cover (see "Installing plastic drive cover").
►
If necessary, remove the accessible 5 1/4 inch drive (see "Removing an accessible 5 1/4-inch
drive").

Remove the two screws (1) of the drive
contact connector.
►
Pull the drive contact connector slightly
forward.
►
Unplug the power supply connector (a) and
the data connector (b) from the drive
contact connector.
►
Remove the drive contact connector from
the casing.
►
Remove the two screws (2) from the drive
rail of the module bay.
►
Remove the drive rail out of the casing.
