    Introduction This Operating Manual tells you how to put your PC into operation and how to operate it in daily use. This description applies for all configuration levels. Depending on the configuration level chosen some of the hardware components described may not be available on your PC. Please observe the notes on your operating system.

For units that stand on a desk or table, type SVT or SJT cord sets shall be used. For units that stand on floor, only SJT type cord sets shall be used.

Do not clean any interior parts yourself, leave this job to a service technician. For cleaning, do not use any abrasive powder or cleaning agents that dissolve plastics to avoid damaging the casing.

Always take hold of the actual plug body. Do not pull the cable (you could damage the plug or socket)! Read the documentation on the external device before connecting it.

    System expansions Installing and removing drives Installing and removing drives The system unit houses a total of three accessible drives (two 5 1/4-inch drives and one 3 1/2-inch drive) and one non-accessible half-height (Slimline) drive. IDE drives By default four IDE drives are supported. Ideally hard disks are connected to IDE port 1, and accessible drives, for example CD-ROMs, to IDE port 2 (see also the Technical Manual for the system board).
